Channel 5’s back to basis’ reality show 10,000 BC is set to roll back onto our screens for a second series.
The brand new show, which was the first on the Channel 5 network to cross promote with a spin off on MTV launched alongside the last week of Celebrity Big Brother in February.
Whilst the launch night gained over one million viewers, ratings slowly but surely dropped.

The contestants were sent into a Bulgarian forest to live like cave men and women for 52 days, setting up camps, making fire and hunting for food.
The show aired twice a week, with the dramatic finale airing on Monday evening after only 5 of the contestants were left.
Whilst 20 entered the reality series, one contestant was forced out due to health issues and many others followed, not able to take the back to basis’ living.
Another left the show when there were allegations of grope from another contestant in the night.
There has now been a casting call for those wanting to take part in a second run went out after the finale aired. Broadcast has reported that a second series is in the works with a “fresh twist” on the format.
