With ‘America’s Got Talent’ having its best season ever in Season 12, NBC was quick to re-sign all the judges as well as host Tyra Banks up for another run.
The network announced judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Mel B, and Heidi Klum would all return for Season 13 later this year as well as host Tyra Banks.
The deal includes new contracts for Howie, Mel B, Heidi, and Tyra. Simon already has a deal in place to be a part of the judging panel until a potential 14th season in 2019. The news comes after speculation that NBC producers were unhappy with Mel B and looking to replace her with Queen Latifah.
The news comes after the twelfth installment of the talent show was the highest rated season in the show’s history. An average of 16 million viewers tuned in per episode and it attracted a 3.5 rating in the key demo of adults 18-49.
Simon Cowell, Sam Donnelly, Jason Raff, Trish Kinane and Richard Wallace are the executive producers.
America’s Got Talent returns to NBC for Season 13 later this summer.
