America’s Got Talent has been one of the most successful summer shows since it premiered back in 2006 but is it about to undergo a major overhaul at the judging desk?
According to Page Six, show bosses are planning to replace all the judges except for Simon Cowell in the first of what is reportedly going to be many changes.
“The word on the street is they are replacing all ‘AGT’ judges except Simon,” a source told Page Six. “It started with [talk about replacing] Mel B and now it’s everyone. Tyra [Banks] is gone.”
Mel B and Heidi Klum have been on the show since season eight back in 2013 and Howie Mandel is currently the longest-serving judge, being on since 2010.
It was previously reported that Tyra Banks is leaving her role as host and it has been speculated Terry Crews is replacing her following the positive feedback from fans.
The show has been the top-rated summer show since it premiered back in 2006 and two weeks of America’s Got Talent: The Champions have been NBC’s highest rated Monday show, averaging 9.9 million viewers.
America’s Got Talent: The Champions airs Monday’s at 8/7c on NBC.
