Things are going from worse to worse for E4 show Tattoo Fixers. A transgender model has claimed that the show ‘ruined his life’ after another star of the show recently came forward about his experience.
Brix Schaumburg had a butterfly tattoo which he wanted removed from his shoulder, following his transition however has hit out at his treatment on the show after suffering scarring.
Speaking to The Mirror, Brix said: “After an excruciating NINE hours, Sketch just did some shit shading as an attempt to cover-up [the butterfly].
“We took some breaks in between for him to smoke. But by the end of the session, I was so cold but had a high temperature.”
He added: “The open wound was so heavily attached to my shirt, I couldn’t dress myself for a week. My chest was so raw and was in really bad condition, which rang alarm bells as I knew this shouldn’t be happening as I have been tattooed many times before.
“Sketch ruined the skin so much that I had to pay an actual professional to correct it as I was so embarrassed.
“But the professional tattooist I saw refused to cover up my chest as the scarring was so bad. And the work he was able to do on my shoulder cost over £1,000.
“This mistake has completely devastated me and ruined my career.”
Tattoo Fixers responded to the allegations stating: “Duty of care is of paramount importance to us.
“When Brix suffered a skin reaction after his tattoo inking, we took him to a dermatologist who identified that he suffers from an incredibly rare skin condition which reacted to certain red ink and was not identified previous to any tattooing procedures.
“We have made subsequent follow-up appointments for Brix with dermatologists and done our utmost to help resolve the condition and continue our commitment to do so.”
