Auditions for Britain’s Got Talent continued on Saturday night and it was time for hosts Ant and Dec to hit their Golden Buzzer but who was it that earned it?
Towards the back half of the show, 13-year-old dancer Akshat Singh from India hit the stage. He told the judges his goal was to “make everyone happy” and show that “nothing is impossible.”
The teenager then began a series of dance moves to Nicki Minaj’s song Spaceships. He pulled off the splits not once, but twice in the routine. His performance had the audience on their feet and the judges dancing along.
“You would have made me feel like I can achieve anything,” judge David Walliams said.
However, the two hosts were the most impressed as the ran from backstage and hit the golden buzzer, sending Akshat straight into the live shows as the teen burst into tears.
“Brilliant, well done,” Ant said. “You were brilliant.”
Akshat now joins David Walliams’ Golden Buzzer act Flakefleet Primary School and Simon Cowell’s Golden Buzzer act Kojo Anim as the acts who have made it into the live shows later this year.
Britain’s Got Talent continues next Saturday at 8 pm on ITV.
