Lord Sugar shocked the candidates as he fired two candidates with another double firing on The Apprentice on Thursday night.
Dillon St. Paul and Sofiane Khelfa were the latest to get the axe from Lord Sugar’s boardroom, getting down to the final six candidates.
This week, the final eight were tasked with creating a new Virtual Reality game. They then had to pitch their idea at Comic Con to industry experts and video game fans.
Team Nebula was the winner with 222 votes from the experts to just 78 for Team Titan.
Project Manager Sofiane decided to bring Grainne and Dillon back into the boardroom where Lord Sugar made a surprising final decision.
Sugar began by assessing the bottom three, saying about Sofiane: “Sofiane, so many people tell me that you’ve got no regard for their ideas. You do your own thing, I can’t deal with people like that.”
About Dillon: “Dillon, you’ve been labelled the creative person, but at the end of the day this wasn’t creative. You know what, Sof disregards instructions but you’re exactly the same I think. I think once you get something in your head, you’re not going to listen to anybody.”
About Grainne: “Grainne, on this particular task I don’t know what you did, at all. I think you took the opportunity to sit back.”
Then he delivered his final decision, firing Dillion.
“It’s not a case of hindsight, I keep hearing ‘had you had your time again, if you did this again, had you rethought it again and whilst you are a very, very, very nice person Dillon…I don’t think you have the potential to be my business partner…it is with regret…Dillon, you’re fired.”
But Lord Sugar did not stop there, being fed up with one candidate in particular.
“It’s getting very, very close to the end now. Sofiane, you go on your own, you do your own thing…I’m finding it difficult that you are a potential winner, Sofiane you’re fired!”
Lord Sugar’s double firing leaves just six candidates remaining to become Lord Sugar’s business partner.
The Apprentice continues Thursday’s on BBC One.
