JLS star Aston Merrygold is the early bookies favourite to win Strictly Come Dancing 2017.
The X Factor star is 11/4 to win the BBC One dancing show, with producers hoping he’ll get the young female audience voting.
The singer was previously a judge on Sky 1’s dance show Got to Dance, with bookies expecting him to do well.
Fellow X Factor star Alexandra Burke also has strong odds of 5/1 to win, whilst fellow singer Saturday’s star Mollie King is 9/2 second favourite.
All three of the stars have dance experience, touring with their music and appearing in theatre productions.
Other bookies odds place Hollyoaks actress Gemma Atkinson at 6/1, Eastenders star Davood Ghadami at 10/1, Good Morning Britain hosr Charlotte Hawkins at 14/1 and Debbie McGee, 25/1.
Yasmin Leonard from BoyleSports said, “Two weeks before Strictly Come Dancing 2017 has even started there is already a clear favourite to win.
Punters immediately got behind JLS star Aston Merrygold and he quickly became red hot favourite at 11/4 to win the show.”
Adding: “However, Alexandra Burke and Molly King have also received strong support and may be serious contenders for the glitter ball trophy this year.”
Strictly Come Dancing is set to return to BBC One on September 9th.
