Great British Bake Off winner Candice Brown is 7/2 with Betway to be confirmed as a judge on The Great British Bake Off.
The cooking show’s new series will hit Channel 4 later this year, and is looking for new presenters and judges after Mel and Sue, and Mary Berry stepped down.
Last year’s baking queen is among the favourites rumoured to fill the tasting spot alongside Paul Hollywood, according to the leading online bookmaker.
Heading the market is Irish TV chef Rachel Allen at 2/1, followed closely by 66-year-old Frances Atkins – one of only six women in the UK to be awarded a Michelin star.
Candice is a 7/2 shot, ahead of fellow Bake Off champion Nadiya Hussain, who’s quietly fancied to team up with Hollywood at 9/2.
Further down the list of Betway’s odds comes Nigella Lawson at 16/1, while culinary legend Delia Smith is currently the rank outsider at 33/1.
Betway’s Alan Alger, said: “Rachel Allen and Frances Atkins have been obvious fancies after a sighting at supposed auditions, but the odds suggest Candice Brown is well in contention for a spot on the judging panel too.
“Last year’s winner can be backed at 7/2 to feature in Channel 4’s takeover series, while Nadiya Hussain is also in the mix at 9/2.”
