After much speculation, The BBC confirmed the 2020 series of The Apprentice has been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The show follows candidates as they complete tasks to try and impress Lord Alan Sugar with the hopes of becoming his business partner. The series has aired every year since 2005 and will be taking a year off for the first time ever.
“Production safety and the wellbeing of everyone involved is our number one priority,” the broadcaster said in a statement.
The show will air its best moments from the past 15 years later on in the year. Lord Sugar revealed on Twitter that the 16th series will return in either the spring or autumn of 2021.
