Is Ben Affleck’s time in the batsuit coming to an end?
The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that the studio is working on plans to have Affleck’s Batman exit with class and acknowledge the change in a future DC film.

The change could see Affleck’s Batman retire and give the suit to someone else or killed off entirely, making room for a new actor to take on the role.
Just a year ago, Affleck was planning to write, direct, and star in DC’s standalone Batman movie. In January he stepped down as director was replaced by Matt Reeves, who directed War of the Planet of the Apes. Reeves revealed last month he would not be using Affleck’s pre-written script and is reportedly planning a complete rewrite of the film.

THR cites Affleck’s age as the studio’s concern for him playing Batman. The actor will be turning 45 in August and it is likely production on the new Batman flick won’t begin for a few years, making Affleck near the age of 50.
Affleck is set to make an appearance at San Diego Comic-Con this weekend to promote Justice League, which hits theaters in November.
