Magician Ben Hart and singer Mark McMullan became the next two acts to advance to the Britain’s Got Talent 2019 final as the semifinals rolled on Thursday night.
Thursday night’s semifinal saw eight acts perform on stage to try and impress the judges and the voting public. At the end of the night, only two acts would still be left in the running to win it all.
After all the acts had performed, the voting lines opened briefly. Pop group BTS graced the stage for a guest performance before hosts Ant and Dec returned to deliver the big result.
They revealed that Ben, Mark, and Graeme Mathews had made the top three before announcing Ben had won the night. This would leave Graeme and Mark to fight it out for the judge’s vote.
David Walliams and Simon Cowell voted for Graeme and Alesha and Amanda voted for Mark, sending the power back into the public’s hands. Mark had the second most votes and would end up going through.
This means Ben and Mark join 4MG, Siobhan Phillips, Flakefleet Primary School, and Dave & Finn in Sunday’s grand finale.
Britain’s Got Talent airs Friday for its last semifinal before the grand finale on Sunday night on ITV.
