Big Brother Australia continued on Sunday night with Angela making a risky move to side with the enemy but would it cost her the game?
The episode kicked off with the house task as the housemates got into pairs and had to climb inside a cardboard box with their pictures on it. The pair that remained in their box the longest would win the challenge and a seafood feast.
Mat and Daniel won the challenge and brought along Xavier and Angela to the feast. Once at the feast, the boys got to work on Angela, trying to work her over to their side for the vote. Mat knew Shane wanted him out last week and wants to return the favour this week. The guys promised Angela final seven and she was sold.
Angela went to inform Marissa of the plan but she was against it. In the Diary Room, Marissa expressed frustration at not being part of the conversation, especially since Mat and Daniel have been trying to get them both out before.
The nomination challenge was straight out of Big Brother Canada as the houseguests’ had to remove boxes from a conveyor belt and stack them horizontally without dropping them. The last person with their stack remaining would win. It was a tense challenge, coming down to Mat and Shane but it would be Mat coming away with the victory.
Mat decided to nominate Shane, Marissa, and Angela for eviction. Angela and Marissa are furious but Mat tries to cover it up by saying he nominated them to keep their new alliance a secret. Marissa doesn’t buy it but Angela is still on the fence about it.
Host Sonia Kruger returns for the eviction, grilling the housemates before the vote. After the votes were cast, Sonia revealed Shane had been evicted on a 6-5 vote. Marissa did not get any votes against her.
Following his eviction, Shane said it was a mistake to keep Angela in and she is not as honest as she claims to be.
“I’m spewing. The last eviction I went for a big scalp in Mat and I missed so I knew that was going to come back to bite me,” he said. “It was my own undoing but a massive mistake keeping Angela in. She’s such a player. She says she’s honest, but I don’t know how much she’s honest to people to tell you the truth.”
Big Brother continues on Monday night at 7.30 pm on Channel Seven in Australia.
