Big Brother Australia continued on Monday night with fan favourite Angela making her last stand as the whole house focused on her with the goal of banishing her once and for all.
The episode kicked off with the house task as the housemates were all strapped with balloons. The goal of the game was to not pop your balloon or you’d be forced to sleep outside for 24 hours. However, Big Brother had a secret mission for Mat: to pop the final two balloons and be the last one standing. It took some time but Mat popped both Angela and Marissa’s balloons to win.
As the winner, he chose Daniel to eat a nice dinner inside the house with him. While there, the guys made an agreement to target Angela once and for all.
The next day, Mat and Daniel got Sophie, Sarah, and Chad together to inform them of the plan. What they did not know was Marissa was eavesdropping on the entire conversation and she ran back to spill it to Angela. At this point, Angela knew that she was needed to win the nominations challenge or she was a goner.
It was then time for the nominations challenge and it was a test of both mental and physical strength. The housemates had to sit and hold up a cylinder with only their feet, the last person standing would win. Unsurprisingly, the guys dropped like flies in the challenge, leaving Sarah and Sophie as the final two. Sarah then threw it, giving Sophie her first win.
Sophie nominated Angela, Kieran, and Casey for eviction as expected. Angela knew she was likely going and she wanted to go out in the only way she could do so, by calling everyone out.
Host Sonia Kruger returned for the eviction and Angela let everyone have it in an epic rant. This would result in her getting evicted in a 9-1 vote. Kieran did not receive any votes to be evicted.
“Goodbye house. Best experience ever,” Angela said after her eviction. “This experience has made me realise I’m stronger than I thought I was. I always had a cup of tea before a challenge I think that was my secret weapon, tea-drinking, and my lip gloss. I’m going to miss Big Brother… that voice just gets me… honey, honey, talk to me more!”
Big Brother continues Tuesday at 7.30 pm on Channel Seven in Australia.
