Big Brother Australia continued on Monday night with eight housemates remaining and one looking for revenge after her best friend’s eviction.
The episode kicked off with the aftermath of Xavier’s eviction on Sunday. Big Brother helped Chad and Sophie celebrate their “one-month anniversary” with a garden picnic. Casey looked on with anger and jealousy as her best friend Xavier was evicted just 24 hours prior and vowed revenge on the couple.
“I feel like maybe I’ve been a bit too complacent; I need to get my head in the game,” she told Big Brother in the Diary Room.
The house task saw the housemates being paused, fast-forwarded, or rewarded by Big Brother and as a treat for passing the task, everyone got burgers.
The nominations challenge saw a battle of endurance as the housemates placed their hands two little bars and put their feet two of six numbered discs in different positions, according to height. If either their hands or feet move off the discs – they’re out. The challenge came down to Casey and Chad but the model threw the challenge to Casey after she promised him safety.
Earlier in the episode, Mat became annoyed with Kerian for making noises, being lazy, and just not being fun in the house.
“Look at him perched there ready to feed his face again, not offering a hand to help. That bloke’s been nominated four bloody times, we can’t get rid of him. I’ve had enough,” Mat ranted.
However, Casey told him there’s bigger fish to fry. She means Chad and Sophie, surely? In her nominations she had a change of heart, nominating Kieran and Marissa for eviction. She says she doesn’t trust Marissa after the 61-year-old was eavesdropping and trying to throw Casey under the bus by correctly informing Chad and Sophie that Casey was coming after them.
Host Sonia Kruger returned for the eviction and got the voting started. After all the housemates had voted, she revealed Marissa was evicted in a 5-0 decision.
“I’m 61 and I know I’ve been a strong contender in this game and that’s a good thing but also a bad thing,” Marissa said following her eviction. “The game has definitely been turned up to extra hot. Dan, Mat, and Casey are coming to Sophie and Chad. I just want to say, ‘guys, ‘watch out!’
Big Brother continues Tuesday night at 7.30 pm on Channel 7 in Australia.
