Magician Richard Jones has been crowned the winner of Britain’s Got Talent 2016, making him the first ever magician to win the talent contest.
After a tense night of performances, hosts Ant and Dec returned with the results. Once again, they announced the results in reverse order until the top three acts were revealed. Boogie Storm, Wayne Woodward, and Jones were the final three.
Boogie Storm came third and Wayne was second, meaning Richards was the winner of the tenth series of the show.
“Thank you to everyone, its been an amazing,” Richard told Ant and Dec moments after winning the show.
It was a close result as voting percentages released by ITV revealed Jones had only won by three percent of the vote. The magician had 16 percent to Wayne’s 13 percent.

- Craig Ball – 9.2%

- 100 Voices of Gospel – 4.7%
- Alex Magala – 4.5%
- Balance Unity – 3.8%
- Shannon & Peter – 3.2%
- Mel & Jamie – 1.9%
With his victory, Jones has earned a place in the Royal Variety Performance and a £250,000 prize.
Britain’s Got Talent will return to ITV for its eleventh series next year.
