12 year-old ukulele player Grace VanderWaal is the favorite to win America’s Got Talent 2016, according to the shows judges.
Judge Simon Cowell called VanderWaal “the next Taylor Swift” during her first audition and fellow judge Howie Mandel used his golden buzzer on her, sending her into the live shows.
On Tuesday, the 12-year-old returned to the show and sung live. There was no difference as she got more praise, singing an original song she wrote for her sister.
“I predict we are all going to remember the moment in years to come when we saw Grace sing live for the first time,” Cowell said.
Mandel took it a step further by saying she will be “the biggest star to ever come out of the show.”
Grace made it through to the semi-finals in Wednesday’s results show and will no doubt be ready for her semi-finals performance next week.
America’s Got Talent airs every Tuesday and Wednesday on NBC.
