The Voice UK has today announces Cel Spellman as the host of ITV’s The V Room.
The new show will become ITV’s official switchover show exclusively produced for The Voice UK and The Voice Kids’ digital platforms.
The V Room will bring fans all the best from backstage, as Cel interviews the all star coaching panel, consisting of will.i.am, Jennifer Hudson, Tom Jones and Gavin Rossdale, show presenter Emma Willis, and this year’s hopefuls throughout all stages of the competition.
The V Room will feature on demand across the ITV Hub and feature exclusive content on social across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and The Voice App.
Broadcaster and actor Cel, who hosts BBC Radio 1’s Sunday afternoon show and has also recently been seen in ITV drama Cold Feet as Matthew Williams, will begin hosting duties when The Voice UK starts recording its blind auditions in Manchester next week.
Cel said “Hosting The Voice UK’s V Room is a very exciting prospect – as a fan of music, I’m looking forward to working with four of the best in the business, and bringing an immersive experience to the fans.”
The winner of The Voice UK 2017 will get a recording contract with music giants Polydor Records, home to global music stars Take That and Ellie Goulding.
The Voice UK returns to ITV in 2017, with auditions beginning next month.
