It’s been revealed that Celebrity Big Brother 2017 winner Sarah Harding had special treatment from show producers while inside the famous house.
Finalist and Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson has told The Sun that the Girls Aloud singer has special privileges in the house.
When it was revealed that Sarah had won the reality series, walker Trisha Paytas made a string of videos slamming the singer, production and the treatment she had received while inside the house.
She stated in the vlog that Sarah had been edited favourably “so she would be the winner”.
Speaking to The Sun, Sam also reiterated some of Trisha’s comments, adding “I know she was the big star, but were a few contract things that she had that we didn’t, like she was assigned her own bed, lots of princessy things.
“She’d get cigarettes on demand which no one else was allowed, and she’d say things that were bad on her and then go up the the Diary Room and come back down and say ‘well that’s not gonna get used now’.
“I don’t even think that happened as ‘Big Brother’ is a fair show. I think she did it to get one up on us.”
Celebrities have often been given special privileges inside the house, with Frankie Gande allowed yo continue presenting duties for his Amazon beauty series, and Katie Hopkins being given her own bedroom for medical reasons.
However, Sam also went further to suggest that the show was rigged for Sarah to win.
“I’m not going to delve into it as I loved ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ and it was amazing for me, but I did receive about 100 tweets from people saying they couldn’t get through to my phone line, and I did think it was odd that Sarah won and got booed.
“I think Amelia [Lily, former ‘X Factor’ star] should have won it. She was the best person in the house, a permanent force of good.”
Celebrity Big Brother returns to Channel 5 in January.
