It’s been reported that Celebrity Big Brother 2018 bosses are struggling to get famous female faces to sign up for the new series of the reality show.
Names including Janet Street-Porter have reportedly turned down big money offers, with the names concerned it’ll ruin their careers.
It has been rumoured the new cast will be female-only, marking 100 years since women won the right to vote.
It was also suggested producers wanted ‘classier’ housemates rather than reality stars.
The Sun is reporting Street-Porter has turned down a big offer to appear.
“Bosses are really starting to panic. At this stage of the year, they would have made a few major signings for the next series, but everyone is turning them down.
“The kind of serious, politically minded women they have been targeting have got absolutely no interest in coming on.”
“As it stands they have got real problems and they might even have to completely scrap their plans if they are going to sign up enough strong characters,” the source continued.
“The show is already under threat, with talk that Channel 5 might ditch it, so the last thing they need is a weak line up come January.”
Celebrity Big Brother’s 21st series will air in the New Year on Channel 5.
