Sam Chaloner, Chanelle McCleary, and Ellie Young all got the chop from Big Brother 2017 in a shocking double (or triple) eviction on Friday night.
After losing out on £33,900 of the prize fund to second chance housemate Andrew Cruickshanks, Sam was the first to walk out of the house. The 24-year-old left the house to a chorus of boos from the audience outside and got out of rain to speak to host Emma Willis.
Since most of his three weeks was centered around his showmance with Ellie, the majority of Emma’s questions centered around their relationship.
Speaking about the possibility of his relationship with Ellie on the outside, Sam said: “We are going to meet each other and go for food. We will see how it goes. It’s not often I like someone. She gets me and not many people get me.”
Chanelle was announced as the housemate with the fewest votes from the public and ninth to be evicted. Her departure stunned the housemates as her best friend in the house Raph was in tears and the outside audience booed the result.
The result is also a shock to the oddsmakers as the 24-year-old was the bookies favourite to win with Ellie predicted to be in the top five.
As she exited the house, Chanelle looked to be on the verge of tears as she sat down for her interview with Emma. The former MTV star spoke about her friendship with Raph and revealed she felt her time in the house was over on Friday.
Speaking on the result, Chanelle said: “I did kind of think it will be me or Hannah because we’re both kind of like Marmite -you either love us or hate us. It feels weird. How am I going to go on without sharing a bed with Raph?”
The house was dealt a final blow when Ellie was announced to be the tenth housemate evicted from the house this series. As she ran up the house, she shouted “I’m getting laid” (watch out Sam..) and left the house.
“It’s like living in a zoo,” Ellie told Emma in her post-eviction interview. “Even the food portions.
Ellie went on to agree with Sam that she would like to see him on the outside.
Emma gave the house one final surprise as she revealed Big Brother was planning a ‘face-to-face’ eviction. However, the two housemates ‘evicted’ will go to the basement to spy on their fellow housemates and be given the power to nominate two for eviction.
Big Brother continues nightly on Channel 5.
