Fitness guru Joe Wicks could be the first name to sign up for Strictly Come Dancing 2017.
The self titled ‘Body Coach’ has revealed the BBC has approached him to take part in the new series.
Speaking to The Sun at the National Television Awards earlier this week, Joe said: “They have asked and I’d love to do it but I’m so busy so I’m trying to clear up the time.
“We’ll see but I have my fingers crossed that I can make it work.”
Joe is a bestselling author, having sold over 1million copies of his ‘Lean In 15’ series of diet books.
He also has a large following, with over 1.7 million followers on Instagram – and the BBC are hoping he can pull in a younger audience to their dancing reality format.
The new series of Strictly Come Dancing will air in September and if Joe does take place he could be joined by athletes Jessica Ennis-Hill and Ellie Simmonds plus I’m A Celebrity contestant Joel Dommett.
