It’s time for the bosses at Disney to just “Let It Go” and accept that as of this weekend Furious 7 has knocked Frozen out of the top five highest grossing movies worldwide.
Furious 7 has grossed 1.321 billion USD surpassing Frozen’s 1.274 billion USD.
The Vin Diesel and Paul Walker flick is expected to surpass the 1.341 billion USD that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 made as well. The Harry Potter is currently the fourth highest grossing movie worldwide.
This is one of Paul Walker’s last movies as the star died in 2013 in a car accident in California. It’s unclear if the spike in sales is because of his passing, regardless the people behind The Fast and Furious franchise know what they’re doing as an eighth movie has been given the green light.
Whilst the snow never bothered Princess Elsa I don’t think these charts bother the Disney bosses. Frozen merchandise alone will surpass an additional 1 billion on top of the 1.274 billion in ticket sales.
