After a week, Simon Cowell has his next big girl band after Real Like You were crowned the winners of X Factor: The Band in Sunday’s live grand final.
The girl group of Kellimarie Willis, Luena Martinez, Seorsia Leagh Jack, Halle Williams, Jess Folley and Virginia Hampson beat out boy band Unwritten Rule to take home a recording contract with Simon Cowell’s record label Syco.

“Oh my god! I’m so overwhelmed by happiness right now,” an emotional Seorsia told Dermot. “I never thought I’d be here being in a winning band with such amazing girls.”
The two groups sang four songs each and the girls were miles better than the boys on the night, seemingly been together for months instead of weeks. The girls were the early favourites as they sang hits from Destiny’s Child and Demi Lovato.
Following all the performances and a guest performance from X Factor 2018 winner Dalton Harris, host Dermot O’Leary returned with the big result.
As he announced the winner, the members of Real Like You screamed, cried and hugged each other in happiness as the members of Unwritten Rule congratulated them and said this isn’t the last we’ll hear of them.
“One Direction didn’t win The X Factor,” said Unwritten Rule member Reese Wiltshire-Fessey. “I mean, that’s all we can say. Don’t sleep on us, Unwritten Rule, we’ve got music, we’re working.”
The X Factor returns to ITV in 2020.
