The Great British Bake Off has brought some controversial moments to our screens, from crumbling pastry to soggy bottoms, the show definitely isn’t without its drama.
And one of the most shocking TV moments from the show came in the form of a Baked Alaska.
Baker Iain Watters had a meltdown during the episode in which fellow baker Diana Beard removed his Alaska from the freezer as it was in hers… Which caused huge controversy online.

Iain held his wedding last weekend and a number of ex-Bake Off stars were in attendance… Including Diana!
His wedding to Catriona Mills was attended by his fellow Bake Off contestants Richard Burr, Chetna Makan, Kate Henry, Enwezor Nzegwu, Jordan Cox, Nancy Birtwhistle and Claire Goodwin.
Bake Off 2014 quarter-finalist Martha Collison shared a photo of the unique wedding cake on Twitter, joking: “Is there a better wedding cake for @iain_watters?!”

If the main wedding cake wasn’t enough there was a “cake corner” which had at least 14 bakes to savour, including Richard’s Lotus Bischoff cake and a lemon meringue layer cake.

After #BinGate, Diana revealed she had no regrets about removing Iain’s ice cream from the freezer. “Of course I didn’t do it viciously but we were all wanting a freezer and it was utter chaos,” she explained. “I thought he had his own freezer.”
More than 800 people complained directly to the BBC about the alleged sabotage of Iain’s Baked Alaska, with Ofcom deciding not to investigate the 13 complaints it had received.
The Great British Bake Off continues Wednesday at 8pm on BBC One.
