America’s Got Talent continued with its auditions on Tuesday night and one act was such an inspiration that he was sent straight into the live shows later this year.
Joseph Allen, a 21-year-old college student, was the final act of the night. He performed an original song that inspired everyone in the theater. His personality, message of inspiration, and humble ways had everyone on their feet.
“I see myself as someone who can make a major impact on the world and I want to see how much of a footprint I can leave on Earth before I leave,” Allen told the judges.
The performance struck a chord with judge Howie Mandel, who literally got on top of the judge’s desk and literally stomped on the golden buzzer, sending Joseph straight into the live shows.
“You said you would leave a footprint, well I will give you the footprint you need,” Howie said as he hit the buzzer.
The gold confetti rained down on stage as Joseph went jumping into the air as host Terry Crews came out to lift him into the air.
Joseph Allen joins Gabrielle Union’s Golden Buzzer act Kodi Lee as the second act into the live shows later this year. Julianne Hough, Simon Cowell, and host Terry Crews have yet to hit their Golden Buzzers.
America’s Got Talent airs Tuesdays on NBC in the US and streams on Netflix in the UK.
