ITV 2 is set for a summer of romance as Love Island returns with a brand new look, hosted by Caroline Flack.
Caroline will preside over the ultimate game of love, as a set of twelve stunning singles jet off to sun kissed Mallorca in search of passion and romance.
6 boys and 6 girls will get to indulge in a summer of sun, sand and romance?
The 12 stunners will get to live like celebrities in a luxury villa, with ITV 2 viewers privy to all the fun and flirtation that ensues. There will be lots of fun in the sun, but, in order to remain in their love and lust fuelled paradise, the singles will have to win the hearts of the public.
The audience at home will have the power to determine who stays and who goes, until one couple remains.
But before all of that… let’s meet the boys hoping to charm the single ladies off their feet!
At 31, Jordan is the oldest of the boys. He is a groundsman at his family hotel and restaurant in Gloucestershire. He has recently come out of a long term relationship and describes himself as an alpha male.
Why did you want to do Love Island?
I recently split up with my girlfriend, so I thought it would be a good opportunity to get over her. We were together for a year. I ended it because I just couldn’t make it work and I couldn’t see a future with her, so I had to do the right thing and stop wasting each other’s time. I want to embrace the opportunity to get to Love Island and meet some girls.
Do you feel more pressure to settle down now you’re in your 30s?
Well most of my mates are in relationships, so it’s definitely time to think about settling down. I don’t want to end up left on the shelf.
Who is your celebrity crush?
Megan Fox. She is exactly my type – brunette, dark skinned, and great tattoos.
What’s your best physical attribute?
I’m quite tall – I’m 6Q 4ins. I’ve got a broad build, tattoos, and a sun tan from working outdoors. I’m definitely an alpha male. I play rugby and used to do kick boxing, and I still go to the gym five times a week.
What do you look for in a girl?
I quite like independent girls who know their own mind. I like intelligent girls who are funny and witty, and someone who gets my sense of humour. And obviously I like it if they’re attractive. My type is dark skinned, dark hair, and maybe a bit alternative. I like tattoos on a girl.
What turns you off?
Someone who doesn’t get my sense of humour, or who is uptight and can’t have a laugh. A girl who is unintelligent, or vain. And I don’t really like tomboys.
How do you woo girls?
I’m not very good at that, to be honest. Luckily they usually approach me. I’m quite shy. If they come up to me, we have an awkward conversation, but the more drinks they have, the more charming they find me!
Have you ever cheated?
Never! I’ve never even kissed another girl when I’ve been in a relationship. I’m very loyal. To be honest, I wouldn’t even text another girl if I was seeing someone. I have been cheated on myself and it’s not great, but it’s fine. It’s all part of growing up.
What will you bring to Love Island that is unique?
I’ve got a good sense of humour and quite a laid back attitude. I’m honest and loyal, and I make friends easily. I’m not going to be a snake in the grass and go in with tactics. I’m not even really good to play it like a competition. You end up looking stupid if you do that.
Have you had any bad dating experiences?
Not really – I make sure they are fully vetted before I go on a date! I’ve never done a blind date or anything like that, I wouldn’t want to waste my time having a two hour meal with someone I don’t click with. So I always do a background check first. Ask my mates, or check her out on Facebook. I’ve always had good dates. I ask the girl what she wants to do – if she wants to go for dinner, that’s fine, and if she wants to go to the zoo, I’ll take her.
