Her husband may have left his position as CBS CEO but Julie Chen Moonves is set to stay on as host of Big Brother USA.
According to reports, the 48-year-old host has told the network she wants to stay on as host of the show she has fronted for 18 years. Deadline reports that the network is planning to keep Julie on as host of Big Brother and its celebrity version.
“She will continue to work on Big Brother and looks forward to hosting the show for years to come,” a source told People Magazine.
Big Brother has not yet been renewed for a 21st season but Chen’s contract runs out at the end of next summer’s Big Brother, all but confirming another season of the hit reality show.
In recent weeks, Julie has used her married name on Big Brother, something she hadn’t done before. In Wednesday night’s eviction show, she introduced herself as Julie Chen Moonves and it is expected she will continue to do so in the future.
Big Brother airs its season 20 finale next Wednesday on CBS in the US.
