Justin Bieber announced he had cancelled the rest of his Purpose World Tour this week and now bookies think he may quit music for good.
The Canadian star announced his ‘official’ retirement from music on Twitter in 2013, but could it be for good this time?
His retirement in December 2013 didn’t last long as he continued to release songs into the New Year, and at 1/50 the odds suggest he’ll release another one in the near future.
But now, Betway have also slashed his odds to 12/1 to be the next Celebrity to quit Twitter, a slightly shorter price than Adele, who also cancelled the finals show of her tour, at 14/1.
Meanwhile, Bieber looks certain at 1/10 to not play another gig in 2017, although at 4/1 never say never.
Betway’s Alan Alger, said: “After the unpredictable Justin Bieber sprung yet another surprise this week by cancelling the rest of his world tour, you certainly wouldn’t put it past the pop star announcing his retirement from music in 2017 at 12/1.
“JB has been keeping a low-profile on social media recently, and after famously quitting Instagram back in 2016, the singer has had his odds slashed from 20/1 to 12/1 to be the next Celebrity to quit Twitter having not tweeted in nearly a month.”
