Lord Sugar has revealed The Apprentice has been cancelled for 2020 due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The host and business mogul was asked by a fan on Twitter if the show would return this year but he said it won’t return until next year.
Due to the ongoing situation in Britain, BBC bosses made the decision to postpone filming, which included two trips out of the country.
“After much consideration, Boundless the producers of The Apprentice has postponed filming in consultation with and supported by the BBC,” the broadcaster said in a statement. “We will continue to review all productions on a case by case basis and will continue to follow the latest news and advice from the Foreign Office, World Health Organisation and Public Health England.”
