Louis Walsh has officially confirmed he and Nicole Scherzinger are returning to The X Factor judging panel alongside Simon Cowell.
Speaking to The Mirror Online, the music manager confirmed filming will begin this week as he and Nicole will be flying to Los Angeles to meet Simon.
“I go to Los Angeles on Tuesday,’ Louis said. “I go to Simon’s house in Malibu, it’s me Simon and Nicole and we’re doing the celebrity one.”
Despite the many rumours of which famous face is actually going to compete in the show, Louis says the judges don’t know who will be competiting and show actually prefer it that way.
“We haven’t been told who the celebrities are I’ve just read bits in the papers,” he said. “They want it to be a surprise to us when they walk out. It’s going to be great.”
Following Celebrity X Factor, the panel will come together for an All-Stars version of the show, which will feature some of the best acts from series past.
Louis then confirmed past winners Leona Lewis, Shayne Ward, and Alexandra Burke will all be taking part.
“It’s going to be great, and then we do the ‘best of’ all in one week, all the winners are coming back,” he said. “Leona’s coming back, Alexandra, Shayne, they’re all coming back.”
This year, show boss Simon Cowell scrapped the regular version of the show in favour of a celebrity and All-Star versions, hoping to bring life back into the long running format.
“It’s going to be new and fun, it’s going to be Love Island meets everything, it’s going to be bigger and better,” Louis added.
The X Factor returns to ITV later this year.
