Louis Walsh is ‘in talks’ to return to The X Factor judging panel for the upcoming series.
Speaking to The Sunday Mirror, the 66-year-old has said he has spoken to Simon Cowell about returning to the show after being axed in 2018.
He also noted he would love to see friend and former judge Sharon Osbourne make a return as well, despite Osbourne’s harsh words about Cowell on Howard Stern’s US radio show.
“Sharon would be great,” Louis said. “She’s burnt a few bridges, but that’s what’s good about her – she has an opinion. She’s never boring or predictable.”
He continued: “I’m going to mediate between them. I’ll do anything necessary. She was only joking. It was all panto talk. They will make up.”
The normal version of the show was scrapped in favor of celebrity and All-Star versions, something Louis is looking forward to.
“The All-Star concept is great. People will watch it to see Leona Lewis, G4, Sam Bailey. Real singers, real talent.”
The X Factor returns to ITV in the autumn for a celebrity and All-Star version.
