TV presenter Caroline Flack has been arrested and charged with assault by beating following reports of a male individual being attacked.
Metropolitan police confirmed the Love Island host was arrested at 5.25 am on Friday for an incident the day prior.
“We confirm that police attended Caroline’s home following a private domestic incident,” Flack’s spokesperson said in a statement. “She is cooperating with the appropriate people to resolve matters. We will not be making any further comment for legal reasons.”
Flack is scheduled to appear on bail at Highbury Corner magistrates court on Monday December 23. The news of her arrest comes just days before she was set to fly to South Africa for the winter series of Love Island.
ITV has not commented on Flack’s arrest or if she will host the winter series.
Love Island returns to ITV on January 8.
