It has been announced today that Rylan Clark and AJ Odudu will join Emma Willis to present the new format of Big Brother’s Bit On The Side.
Rylan will be presenting a new Sunday lunchtime show and said: “I have followed the show since the very beginning. It was a dream come true to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house this year, let alone win it! Being offered the job to present Big Brother’s Bit On The Side was amazing.”
Emma Willis, the new main show presenter will share presenting duties with Rylan and AJ, alongside her new role as main presenter.
AJ is a TV presenter from the BBC’s former Teenage weekend slot ‘Switch’ and made several appearances on Bit On The Side in January. AJ said: “It’s going to be brilliant fun hooking up with Rylan and Emma for Big Brother’s Bit On The Side. I can’t wait to find out who the housemates are and get stuck in.”
As well as new presenters it has been announced that a brand new show ‘Bit On The Psych’ will air weekly on Saturday nights. Following a previous format that Channel 4 used, the show could feature a panel of psychologists and experts analysing behaviour of the housemates. Channel 4 previously called the spin offs ‘Big Brain’ and ‘On The Couch’.
New director of programmes at Channel 5, Ben Frow added: “Big Brother’s spin off shows have a history of bringing on new talent and with Rylan and AJ I think we have two future stars.”
Big Brother 2013 is set to begin early next month.
