Sharon Osbourne could be in danger of losing her job on The X Factor following a shocking foul-mouthed rant about Simon Cowell and the show itself.
The Sun reported late Tuesday that Osbourne’s rant about show boss Simon Cowell and slating the show itself has not sat well with ITV and it could result in her losing her job with the show.
The 65-year-old music manager was on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show on Tuesday and launched a foul-mouthed rant about Cowell, specifically about being a judge on America’s Got Talent.
“Simon loves to be on TV,” she said. “And he wasn’t on TV in America and he will do whatever he has to do to get that f***ing fat face on TV.”
Osbourne’s anger directed at Cowell seems to come over contract disputes after she was axed from the judging panel but will be returning for live shows to fill in for judge Robbie Williams. She also slammed reports she was only getting £1 million to appear.
“I am not f***ing doing it for a million. It is a principle – you want me you have to pay what I am worth. And the thing is these networks aren’t used to it. Because people are always half way up their a*** for a gig. And at my age, I won’t f***ing beg.”
Perhaps her most shocking and jaw-dropping comments came when Stern asked Sharon which judge she would not save from a sinking ship.
“We would put a f***ing brick around his neck and throw him over. I will drown you mother f***er. Absolutely…he’s gone,” she answered.
Sharon then went on to slate show she had been a judge on for a total of five years, calling the singers karaoke and saying she didn’t have time for the audition rounds.
“Oh f*** I don’t have to have those kids singing in my face,” she said. “That little sh***. They all suck. It is like hey is this f***ing karaoke or what?”
The X Factor returned this past weekend with its lowest rated launch weekend in 14 years, attracting around 5 million viewers. Robbie Williams, Ayda Field, and Louis Tomlinson were brought on as judges.
“Listen to this he has got two f***ing people in the show,” she said. “He has changed the panel. Robbie Williams, he’s a good guy, and he has got his wife on.”
She then went on to claim she is planning to be brutal when she returns for the live shows later this year: “The thing is it is the end of my contract now, it is like no holds barred. It is like get the f*** off the stage. You’re s***. Get the f*** out.”
The X Factor airs Saturday’s and Sunday’s on ITV at 8 pm.
