Simon Cowell has had so much fun on The X Factor this year, he wants to bring his friends back for another year.
This year saw a massive overhaul to the judging panel as Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh, and Nicole Scherzinger were all axed in favour of Louis Tomlinson and Robbie and Ayda Williams. Now the music mogul wants them all back next year.
Speaking on ITV’s This Morning on Friday, Cowell said he wants the trio back together at the judge’s desk in 2019 but admitted it might be pricey.
“It’ll cost a lot of money, but yes. Of course,” he said. “They’ve been amazing.”
Fans had given the panel some harsh criticism after Ayda was announced as a judge over the summer, given she has zero experience in music coming into the show. But ahead of Sunday’s grand final, she defended her spot on the panel.
“I want to help someone achieve their dreams, so whatever someone wants to say, that makes it more exciting because if it wasn’t a challenge it wouldn’t be much fun,” she said.
The X Factor 2018 concludes on ITV tonight when Anthony, Dalton, or Scarlett will be crowned the winner.
