After all the finalist had performed and a guest performance from Little Mix, host Emma Willis returned to deliver the big result. She announced that Sam had gotten the most votes from the public and was the winner of the show.
“Thanks, that’s so cool,” a stunned Sam said. “I can’t believe it.”
The victory was the first for coach Danny Jones after Pixie Lott won the first two series with her artists.
“Tonight was the hardest because they’re all worthy winners, the talent on this stage tonight has been unbelievable, but Sam really deserves it and he’s done amazing,” Jones said.
Sam won the hearts of the viewers with his performance of “Everything’s Alright” and “Hey Jude” in a duet with Jones.
As the winner, Sam will walk away with the £30,000 prize towards their musical education and a family trip to Orlando courtesy of Universal Studios and Norwegian Air. As a special surprise, Emma announced that all four finalists would be going to Orlando as well as the winner.
The Voice Kids UK returns to ITV in 2020.
