After a two day break, The Circle returned to Channel 4 on Monday night with James making a shocking reveal and two new players entering the game to shake things up.
In case you missed it, here’s a recap of the biggest moments from Monday’s episode.
James comes clean
After realising he can no longer go forward in the game as “Gemma”, James made the shocking decision to come clean to Andy about who he really is.
“Andy has always been my main ally since the start. He mentioned integrity in our last conversation. I’m no longer comfortable in my guise as Gemma with him,” James says.
He starts a private chat with Andy, informing him he has something important he needs to discuss with him.
James wrote in a Circle Message: “I feel like you’re my only true friend in here so I’ve something to tell you. It’s true I’m here to raise money for the NHS but I didn’t want to be judged for who I really am.
“Most of what I’ve said is absolutely true, some of it a slight spin on the truth and some of it false.
“I’m putting my future in The Circle in your hands and it’s up to you what you do with the information.
“My Andy, my name is James, I’m 47 but you may know be better as ‘Hunter’ from 90s game show Gladiators.”
Andy was pretty shocked to say the least.
“I’m pleased that you’ve opened up,” Andy replied. “The connection is real and I’d have been p**sed if I found at the end so I’m glad you’ve told me.”
However, towards the end of the episode, Andy said his goal is not have Gemma/James become influencer in the next set of ratings. So what Andy does with his information remains to be seen.
Two new players enter
Following Billy and Tally’s exits, The Circle welcomed two new players to the game. Pippa, a 26-year-old paralegal from Manchester is playing as herself. The other is Joey, a 26-year-old playing as a Nigerian immigrant version of himself called Femi.
This wouldn’t be an episode of The Circle without an ALERT! The Circle revealed Femi and Pippa will be selecting the next two influencers.
The Circle continues Tuesday night at 10 PM on Channel 4.
