The Masked Singer UK continued on ITV on Saturday night saw seven more masked celebrities take to the stage to perform and try to earn their place in the next round of the competition.
Harlequin, Blob, Seahorse, Viking, Bush Baby, and Grandfather Clock would all sing before one was eliminated and unmasked. So who didn’t make the cut? Let’s dive into this recap and find out!
Harlequin was first up and performed Diamonds by Rihanna. Some of the clues included they played a male lead role in a musical and described themselves as “a bit of a joker”.
Who is behind the mask? My guess: iconic singer Gabrielle
The blob was up next and he sang Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson. Now, given his voice, he’s not a trained singer but his clues seemed to hint at him being a jokester of some sort.
Who is behind the mask? My guess: Comedian Lenny Henry
The Seahorse followed with a performance of Can’t Get You Out Of My Head by Kylie Minogue. While the clues could be a red herring, her voice sounds young. This has me thinking it could be someone who isn’t a veteran celebrity.
Who is behind the mask? My guess: Radio presenter Emma Bunton
The Viking came up next and sang the classic song Songbird by Fleetwood Mac. He was by far the best performance of the night for me but once I listened a second time, the voice became clear.
Who is behind the mask? My guess: Musician Morten Harket
The Bush Baby had the cutest costume of the night and he sang Delilah by Sir Tom Jones. One of the clues had a potato falling out of the hat and this guy had a famous song called Baked Potato.
Who is behind the mask? My guess: comedian Matt Lucas
The final performance of the night belonged to the old grandfather clock. He sang Rock Around The Clock by Bill Haley and blew the roof off. The judges were stumped as the voice sounded young but he sang a classic song.
Who is behind the mask? My guess: I have no idea!
After all the celebrities sang, the judges and studio audience voted Harlequin, Seahorse, and Grandfather Clock were at the bottom three. It was then revealed Seahorse was actually Spice Girl Mel B!
The Masked Singer UK continues next Saturday at 7 pm on ITV.
