The X Factor is back with a brand new panel but it seems to have not done the job of bringing viewers to switch on.
The X Factor returned to ITV on Saturday and attracted an audience of 5.7 million viewers, making it the lowest rated launch in the 14-year history of the show. The figure is down 500,000 on last year’s premiere but the audience share was up by two percent.
Sunday’s second had an average of 5 million viewers, down a massive 1.5 million from the same time last year.
The news is less than ideal for show boss Simon Cowell, who was hoping the new panel of Robbie Williams, Ayda Field, and Louis Tomlinson would bring viewers back to the ITV singing show.
Over the weekend some fans have slammed the show panel calling it wooden, boring, and said there was a lack of chemistry.
The X Factor 2018 airs Saturday’s and Sunday’s at 8 pm on ITV.
