The Voice UK went live for the first time on ITV and it was Team J-Hud in the spotlight for the first of four knockout rounds.
By the end of the night, Jennifer would see her team go from six acts down to three, with the American star making a tough decision.
David Jackson was first to take the stage with A Little Respect by Erasure. Jack Bruley was second with To Love Somebody by the Bee Gees and Tim Gallagher sang Want To Want Me by Jason Derulo.
The second half of the three was favourite to win Mo with his own version of Beyonce’s Freedom. Georgie Braggins performed I Say A Little Prayer by Aretha Franklin and last up was Jamie Miller with current hit by Ed Sheeran Piece of You.
After a performance from Sir Tom Jones, host Emma Willis returned to deliver the results from the viewers – who voted for the first time in the knockout rounds.
The first act through to no ones surprise was Mo followed by Jamie, sending them both straight into the live quarterfinals. Jennifer was then tasked with making a difficult decision, eliminating two of her acts.
In the end, she would choose Jack Bruley to go into the quarterfinals.
“Because I have so much faith in you, I’m going to take another chance, and I’ve got to choose Jack,” she said.
Jennifer’s team is complete for the live quarterfinals, but tomorrow and next weekend will see the remaining coaches finalize their teams.
The Voice UK continues tomorrow night on ITV at 7.30 with Team Tom battling for a place in the quarterfinals.
