It looks like Nigel Farage could be heading down under for some reality TV fun!
The ex-UKIP leader is apparently on ITV producers wish lists and is being eyed by the I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here team for the new series, coming this autumn.
The politician could earn as much as £250,000 for taking on Bushtucker trials and munching on bugs galore according to The Mirror.
If the ex-UKIP leader does take part he’ll follow in the footsteps of former Conservative party member Edwina Currie and ex-Liberal Democrat MP Lembit Öpik who have both taken part in the past.
Nadine Dorries was suspended from the Conservative party in 2012 when she signed up for I’m a Celebrity without telling the chief whip George Young.
However, it looks like there could be a reality TV showdown with Channel 5 wanting Farage for Celebrity Big Brother stating in a few weeks.
The controversial politician hinted this week that he’d be ‘tempted’ to square off with pro-Europe rivals in Celebrity Big Brother if there was a MP special!
Other names hinted to take part in I’m A Celeb are Coleen Rooney, TOWIE’s Jessica Wright and Sarah Harding.
Celebrity Big Brother and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! will return next month, and in the autumn respectively.
