Former Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher has hinted he might be open to joining X Factor, now that Cheryl has quit the show.
The singer has according to reports been offered a huge pack packet to join the show, which struggled with its ratings during the 2015 series.
Speaking to The Daily Star, the 48 year old said “That might be a deal breaker.
“Simon Cowell – who I like and I’ve got nothing against him or his television show – would have to make me the most psychedelic offer that he’s ever made anyone in the history of showbusiness for me to consider it.
“I’ve got better things to do on a Saturday night than be sat live on the television.”
In 2011, it was reported Noel had been asked to name his price to appear on the show, and that £1 million was on the table.
Again in 2013, he was offered £2 million to judge alongside Gary Barlow and ex-Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger.
Now, bosses on The X Factor are looking for a way to refresh the show for 2016, after the 2015 series saw rating drop by 2 million compared with the previous year.
But could it be more of the same, instead of new faces?
Last month, there were reports that Simon Cowell had met with Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne in LA to discuss the pair returning to the show.
Louis and Sharon formed the original judging line up, and served together on the panel from 2004 to 2007 when Sharon left, and later returned in 2013.
Since Oasis called it time in 2009, Noel has been performing with his new band, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.
