X Factor winner Matt Terry didn’t even make it to the judges auditions last year, after being rejected from the show by producers.
The Bromley singer won the singing competition earlier in the year, but it could have been very different…
Just twelve months ago Terry auditioned for the show, and was rejected before even seeing the judges.
Speaking to BANG! Showbiz he revealed “It was the second time I auditioned for the ‘X Factor’.
“I auditioned the year before but I was really ill and didn’t do very well. I didn’t sing that great. I was kicked out in the producer round where you sit in front of people from the show.”
The 23-year-old luckily returned the following year, and was victorious!
Matt’s winner’s song When Christmas Comes Around is out now. The X Factor returns to ITV in 2017.
