America’s Got Talent continued its auditions for Season 16 on Tuesday night with singers, dancers, magicians, and one truly hair-raising act over the course of 2 hours.
In case you missed it, here are the best and worst acts from the night:
By far, the best act of the night belonged to Jimmie Herrod, a 30-year-old singer from Portland. He sang “Tomorrow” from the movie Annie, a song which judge Simon Cowell simply does not like. However, when Jimmie opened his mouth, he blew the judges away with his voice.
Jimmie sounded like he is made for the Broadway stage. He blew judge Sofia Vergara away so much, she pressed her Golden Buzzer, sending Jimmie straight into the live shows later this year. It was well deserved because Jimmie just might be the best male singer since Brian Justin Crum.
As soon as this guy walked out onto the stage, I knew exactly who he was. Josh won the fourth season of NBC’s Last Comic Standing in 2006 and he still has got the chops nearly 15 years later. Josh put together a hilarious set about his disability.
Josh is easily one of the best comedians of the season and considering his past, he has a very good chance of making it far in the competition.
The singer from North Carolina originally auditioned on the 13th season of The Voice and finished third place. For her audition, she sang “Cuz I Love You” by Lizzo and blew the roof off the auditorium.
She has the singing chops to go very far in the competition and it would not surprise me if she ended up making live shows.
Pam and Casper
Let’s get this straight: dogs cannot sing. Pam and her “singing” dog performed to “All By Myself” and while it was funny, it was not up to the standard of this show.
America’s Got Talent airs Tuesdays on NBC in the US and streams on Netflix in the UK.
