America’s Got Talent rolled on Tuesday with its penultimate auditions episode featuring dancers, singers, and truly mesmerizing acts.
In case you missed it, here’s a recap of my best and worsts acts from the seventh week of auditions.
A true legend graced the AGT stage on Tuesday as Michael Winslow went from the big screen to now try to make a comeback. He put together a truly hilarious set and used his talents as a voicetramentalist to showcase how he knew about his talents from a young age.
The judges gave him four yeses and he advanced to the next stage of the competition.
All the way from the Philippines, this act came to show something I’ve never seen before. He put together a dazzling light show to truly impress the judges. I just hope he didn’t show everything he had in his audition.
No surprise, he got four yeses from the judges and moved on.
The 31-year-old singer from North Carolina was the final act of the night. He put together a truly beautiful rendition of Andy Grammer’s “I Am Yours” in dedication to his wife, who is a survivor of brain cancer.
Ray’s voice reminded me of a young John Legend with just his voice and the piano. He is someone I could see making it very far in the competition.
We had a slew of bad acts on Tuesday night’s episode but Temple London really set the bar. They are a father-son duo who brought some martial arts to the stage. I wasn’t blown away or impressed by it at all. I couldn’t do it myself but after 16 seasons, I expected better.
America’s Got Talent continues next Tuesday at 8/7c on NBC with the final round of auditions.
