Just before the end of Celebrity Big Brother a couple of weeks ago, it was revealed that show producers Endemol had made an application to the local council where Big Brother is filmed to increase the size of the Big Brother 2016 house. Today, new house plans have been leaked!
The plans show details for a whole new outside eviction set which looks mostly similar to the old set with a cat walk and spinning eye area outside of the main door.
However, there is now a stair case to the new building, with the stairs labelled as “task entrance”. In addition, there seems to be a curved wall around the exterior set.
Plans also show a new eviction building which is set to be a fixed structure, instead of the temporary eviction building that the show has had for the last 5 years.
The eviction building shows current plans for the interview to take place in a different area of the building, instead of where the eye entrance usually is.
This could signal the end of a much complained about portion of the eviction interviews: crowd noise!
Another extension to the usual house set can be seen with the proposed garden area. Which seems to link to the new building via a door through the camera runs.
If this is to be the only garden in the house, then the actual house itself is likely to been increased in size dramatically. Meaning that the old garden area is now free space to be new or additional rooms.
It is likely that the interior structure of the current house will also be completely redesigned for the upcoming new series.
Big Brother is set to return in May or June 2016 on Channel 5.
