Daniel returned to the Big Brother house on Tuesday night’s episode of Big Brother Australia and he came back a changed man…sort of.
The real estate agent returned after being isolated from the other housemates after he fell ill in Monday’s episode. He learned of the shocking news that his best mate Nick had been evicted and Katie won the challenge, breaking her word to his alliance. He was even more shocked at Melissa for voting Nick out and saving herself.
As a result, Daniel changed tactics and got close to Katie’s side of the house. He put on the charm and nice act to get on Katie’s good side and it looks like she’s believing what the real estate agent is selling at the moment.
For the nominations challenge, housemates had to run an obstacle course. For hitting the Big Red Button, Daniel won an advantage and could skip the first three rounds of the challenge and go into the final round. However, self-proclaimed mastermind Ari won and became the first male to win a nominations challenge.
Ari saw right through Daniel’s fake nice act and put him on the block next to Melissa and Marley.
Host Sonia Kruger got the eviction process started. She pointed out that Katie and Daniel seemed to be on good terms and that was evident when Jess and Katie rallied to save Daniel and evict Melissa on a 9-1 vote.
“I thought farm life was hard but this Big Brother house was pretty crazy. I’m pretty lucky to get this far,” Melissa said. “I thought I was a goner from the day I walked in there. I literally fought to the end. You can’t say I didn’t get it 110%. I’m proud, I hope my family are proud, I hope Australia is proud. I don’t think Daniel can play the low-key game he says he can. They’re fools for believing him. He plays way harder than me so that’s going to create a bit of trouble in the house. I think the three that think they’re safe – Jess, Katie and Marley – have a big battle on their hands coming up.”
Big Brother continues on Wednesday night at 7:30 on Channel Seven.
