Big Brother officially returned to our screens on Sunday night on E4 and the show’s loyal fans were there to welcome back their favourite show.
Big Brother: Best Shows Ever began its two-week run on E4 last night, attracting 660,000 viewers as it tripled the usual 9 pm time slot viewing figures and earned a 3.6 percent audience share. The episode highest-rated non-scripted show of 2020 so far for the channel.
The show’s loyal fans got #BBUK trending No. 1 on Twitter in the U.K. as fans begged for the show to be revived by Channel 4 after C5 axed it just under two years ago.
Hosted by Davina McCall and Rylan-Clark Neal, the two hosts will look back on the best shows ever from 20 years of Big Brother.
“We are going to be showing episodes just as they went out on air, so the same aspect ratio, not all in HD, nothing like that,” Rylan said in Sunday’s launch show. “And as ever, as I’m sure you’re aware, there are some things that we have taken out of a few shows that just didn’t feel right for 2020.”
Big Brother: Best Shows Ever airs Sunday-Thursday at 9 pm on E4.
