Big Brother USA continued on Wednesday night with the first Power of Veto competition of the season as Frenchie faced backlash for his out of nowhere nominations.
The episode kicks off just after the nomination ceremony. The majority of the house is shocked but no one is more shocked than Alyssa. She and Christian correctly guess that Frenchie nominated her because she is close with Christian. This gets confirmed when Alyssa talks to Frenchie and tells him she and Christian have never had a thing going on other than being teammates.
Frenchie now wants to find a new target and that’s Derek X. He says he’s heard Derek X talking about him and forming alliances on his HOH. The power really goes to Frenchie’s head when he tells Brent to not associate with Derek X.
Players were picked for the veto, leaving Frenchie even more paranoid. Joining Kyland, Frenchie, and Alyssa in playing were Travis, Derek X, and Tiffany. “The worst possible scenario,” Frenchie says in the storage room after the picks were made.
For the Veto competition, the players had to maneuver their cherry through a maze into a cup at the bottom but it must hit the key ingredients before doing so. Derek X’s plan was to see how the other players placed their top ingredients while he worked on the bottom part. His plan paid off as he won the first veto of the summer and threw Frenchie’s backdoor plan out the window.
With Derek X holding the veto power, Frenchie had no choice but to go back on his word to Travis. That left him to tell Derek X he will keep him safe for the next few weeks but as Derek X knows, Frenchie’s word means little to nothing in this game.
At the veto meeting, Derek X removed Kyland from the block and Frenchie put a shocked Travis on the block.
