Horror director Wes Craven has sadly died at the age of 76, Wes was best known for directing ‘Scream’ and ‘The Nightmare On Elm Street’.
The director passed away in his Los Angeles home, Wes was born in Cleveland, Ohio, married with three children.
Craven wrote and directed Horror classics A Nightmare on Elm Street in 1984 and his Scream trilogy which started in 1996, grossing more than $100m in the US.
Other notable Craven films include The Serpent and the Rainbow (1988), Shocker (1989), The People Under the Stairs (1991) and Music of the Heart (1999).
The famous director has recently directed MTV’s brand new Scream TV show which premiered earlier in Summer. The MTV series finale airs this week as the killers identity is revealed.
Craven has also worked recently on a graphical Horror novel series, with his first film being The Last House On The Left, in 1972.
